Projects may include Browser development, web-based applications, networked client-server applications, multiple database driven applications, and/or implementation of network security methodologies. May include some low- level development such as device drivers, kernel configuration for different hardware architectures and code for hardware verification. Has specific technical project or product responsibility. Design, implement, integrate, and verify software applications and tools using C\C++ under Linux and Windows OS. Enhance, optimize, and improve efficiency and robustness of the current software. Participate in requirements analysis, architecture, and design processes. Collaborate with multiple development teams. Review, evaluate and analyze test plans and procedures. Support system test programs, analyze results and improve overall system quality. Participate in a complete software development lifecycle using Agile methodologies. What We’re Looking For: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience required. 5-10 years’ of software development experience required. Strong proven experience in C\C++ programming languages required (C++17 and later is desirable). Deep knowledge and experience in real time multi-threaded embedded software required. Proven experience in development under Linux required. Proven experience in socket programing, IPC and PUB/SUB architecture required. Deep understanding of the basic networking protocols TCP/UDP/IP and familiarity with VLANs and basic switching and routing concepts required. Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, context switches and make efficient use of shared resources. Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment practicing Agile software development principles. Proven experience in continuous integration / continuous deployment and test-driven software development Demonstrated engineering communication expertise including clear and concise written and verbal skills. Understanding of advanced networking protocols HTTP/SNMP/DHCP/DNS etc.… is desirable. Familiarity with satellite networks, antenna systems and related communication protocols is desirable. Familiarity with wireless networks and 802.11 standards is desirable. Familiarity with GPRS, EDGE, CDMA and LTE protocols is desirable. The salary of $93,000 - $157,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
