Embedded Software Test Engineer

Take ownership of testing

You will be supporting projects in multiple industries, however this role has a focus on the aerospace domain. You will play an integral part, ensuring products are the leading edge of technology for our customers.

As an Embedded Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Generating test strategies based on software quality standards.

Documenting of test plans, test report, test cases etc to aid software qualification.

Translating product and design requirements into auditable test plans and abstracted test cases

Conducting problem investigation, debugging and management of issue identification, correction and validation

Providing technical lead in the definition and documentation of a cohesive software verification strategy and process for each product

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

Have significant experience of working in a role of software verification and validation in aerospace domain complying to DO178-B/C standard, and within a AS9100 SMS.

Have good experience in verification and qualification of software to DAL-A standard.

Have significant experience in testing resource constrained embedded software and low level comms protocols.

Have ISTQB certification or similar.

Have experience in the interpretation and understanding of hardware datasheets and device capabilities.

Have some knowledge of C programming.

Have a valid British passport or already have the right to work in the UK.
