Job Description
We are seeking a talented Embedded Systems Developer to join our team. This hybrid role involves both embedded system development and web-app development. You will be working on the foundational implementation of a common code base for use in multiple new products (NPD, R&D). This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape the future of controllers, sensors, and lab instruments. The platform we are developing will scale across embedded Linux. The ideal candidate must be self-directed and able to work independently, as the lead is located in Europe. You will need to make judgment calls and decisions without getting stuck when uncertain.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop responsive web applications using HTML, React, and other UI/web development technologies.Implement common code base for new products in the NPD and R&D stages.Scale the platform across embedded Linux systems.Work independently and make decisions without extensive guidance.Collaborate with a remote scrum team to achieve project goals.Ensure the development process adheres to Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.3+ years of experience with responsive web app development.3+ years of experience with embedded system development using microcontrollers and platforms like Linux and RTOS.3+ years of experience with React framework, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.Proficiency in Agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, and unit testing.Additional Skills & QualificationsMaster’s degree in Embedded Systems Engineering.Experience with Embedded Linux build systems such as Yocto.Experience with Embedded NGNIX web proxy servers.Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP).Proficiency with scripting languages such as Shell, Bash, and Python.Experience with Lit Element and MQTT protocol.Experience developing UI for touchscreen displays.Experience with React Dynamic Remote modules.Full-stack or backend development experience with SQL.Work Environment
The position is based onsite in Loveland with a flexible option for hybrid/remote work on Fridays. You will join a scrum team of 8 members, who are all remote and located in Europe. The work environment requires collaboration and building strong communication channels to ensure success.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $100.00/hr.
