THE ROLE
The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for producing a quality garment in a timely fashion by following a production spec sheet and/or art sheet. This Operator will use multi-head embroidery machines, each having individual procedures that must be followed. Additionally, this position requires the individual to follow direction to ensure product meets customer expectations, maintain acceptable quality and productivity, while keeping a clean and safe work area, be reliable, work well with others and work well in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Embroidery Machine Operator plays a vital role in the ongoing production functions of the Company. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include
Produces accurate quality decorated garments using a Multi-Head Embroidery Machine Follows the direction on production specification sheet and/or art sheet provided for each customer order Maintains a clean organized work area Functions well as part of a team with the entire production department Assists in the development and/or institutes new procedures to improve accuracy and quality of products
QUALIFICATIONS
The Embroidery Machine Operator should have a number of professional skills and abilities:
A high school diploma or GED A minimum of two years of experience with embroidery machines or related experience An equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of machines used throughout the production process Be detail-oriented in nature and apply this to all produced product The ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities, meet assigned deadlines, and manage the related stress Sound organizational, records management, time management skills, and attention to detailCOMPENSATION
$17-19/hour
WORKING CONDITIONS
Location: On-Site
The Embroidery Machine Operator is primarily in a warehouse environment and may be exposed to varying weather and temperature conditions. Physical requirements include:
Continuous movement throughout the production department Able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally Fine motor skills including manual dexterity
