What You'll Do
The Learning & Development Manager for the Eastern Mediterranean and Caspian region (EMC) system will run the end-to-end processes related to the Learning and Development function (L&D) for the internal Business Services Teams. In this role, you are the first point contact for the learners and Stakeholders, representing the EMC system while leading a small team of 1-2 team members. The responsibilities include conducting training needs assessments, content development, training facilitation, people management and financial management. As a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, you will be interacting with key stakeholders across local, Regional and Global teams. Together with your team, you will work closely with other Business Services teams and Consulting staff in order to deliver high impact trainings. You will also collaborate with L&D peers regionally and globally to ensure the full integration of trainings in your system, and local HR functions to comply with regional and global guidelines. This role is a 9 month parental cover.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzing performance gaps and training needs of internal business functions (i.e. HR, recruiting, marketing, staffing, operations etc.)Overseeing the design, development and improvement of training paths and contentSupporting learners through training- and workshop facilitation, coaching and mentoring initiativesEvaluating and measuring the impact of trainingsBeing a trusted advisor, providing guidance and direction to Managers and other key stakeholdersManaging financial responsibilities, such as the local training budget, tracking expenses, vendor contracting and invoice processingProactively scouting and evaluating external training contractorsLeading 1-2 direct reports, managing professional development tasks (coach, mentor, support growth), performance management and career development tasks (check-ins, feedback, reviews), workload planning responsibilities and maintaining a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environmentLiaising with other HR teams to ensure embed trainings in the end-to-end BCG Career development process in the EMC geography
What You'll Bring
Qualifications
University Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Economics or related Human SciencesAt least 6 years of working experience in a Learning & Development role, ideally in a structured corporate environment or consultancy companyFluency in Italian and English requiredKEY COMPETENCIES
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and facilitation skillsStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across different countries and culturesAbility to quickly grasp and navigate complex reporting relationships and stakeholder matricesAdvanced level experience with MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OutlookExperience leading others as a people managerFamiliarity in Learning Management Systems (LMS), ideally SABA and CornerstoneProven track record to perform successfully in a fast-paced and service-oriented environmentWho You'll Work With
