Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Test Engineer to join our Power Electronics and Drives Division Product Development EMC Team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable EMC standards throughout the product design cycle of variable frequency drives.
ResponsibilitiesFamiliarize yourself with IEC -3 Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Requirements for Adjustable Speed Power Drive Systems and supporting test standards.Design for EMC to support scheduled product releases.Collaborate closely with all project team members to ensure EMC-compliant product design.Evaluate product design concepts for EMC compliance and risk.Conduct detailed reviews of electrical and mechanical designs for EMC compliance.Perform pre-compliance testing in the lab to minimize risk prior to design release.Coordinate and conduct EMC validation testing at third-party test facilities.Provide relevant input to project leaders for project resources, schedules, budgets, and test planning.Essential SkillsProficiency with test equipment and EMC testing.Experience with EMC compliance, test procedures, and test planning.Familiarity with IEC -3 standards.Strong experience in electrical engineering.Ability to read electrical schematics.Effective communication skills with cross-functional teams.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.5+ years of EMC testing experience in a lab environment.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
