EMEA Account Director
Location: London, UK
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic EMEA Account Director to join our London office. This pivotal role will be responsible for managing and growing our corporate real estate services for key clients across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in complex client relationship management, first-generation outsourcing initiatives, and vendor coordination. This position demands exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and financial acumen to drive account growth and deliver superior client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned corporate clients in the EMEA regionDevelop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with C-suite and senior executives within client organizationsConduct regular strategic reviews with clients to ensure alignment with their evolving business objectivesProactively identify and address client concerns, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retentionOrganize and lead quarterly business reviews, presenting performance metrics and strategic recommendationsService Delivery Oversight
Manage the end-to-end delivery of corporate real estate services across multiple countries in EMEACoordinate and oversee both first-generation outsourcing initiatives and existing vendor relationshipsDevelop and implement standardized processes to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across all locations and service linesMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to maintain service excellenceLead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any service delivery issuesFinancial Management
Assume full P&L responsibility for assigned accounts, typically ranging from £10M to £50M in annual revenueDevelop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts for each accountImplement strategies to improve profitability, including cost optimization and revenue enhancement initiativesMonitor financial performance against budgets and provide regular reports to senior managementIdentify and manage financial risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in placeAccount Growth and Business Development
Set and achieve ambitious growth targets for assigned accounts, typically 10-15% year-over-yearIdentify and pursue opportunities to expand services within existing accounts, including cross-selling and upsellingDevelop strategies to grow accounts across other business lines (e.g., Project Management, Facilities Management, Transactions) and geographiesCollaborate with internal teams to create tailored, innovative solutions that address complex client needsParticipate in RFP responses and new business pitches to secure account expansionsTeam Leadership
Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of 15-20 real estate professionals across various disciplinesFoster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the teamConduct regular performance reviews and develop career progression plans for team membersEnsure team members have the necessary resources, training, and support to meet client expectationsCollaborate with HR to recruit and retain top talent for the account teamStrategic Planning
Develop and implement 3-5 year strategic plans for assigned accounts, aligned with overall company strategyAnticipate market trends and client needs to proactively adapt service offeringsContribute to the overall growth strategy of the company in the EMEA regionParticipate in internal strategy sessions and provide insights on market dynamics and client needsVendor Management
Oversee the selection, management, and performance of third-party vendors across the EMEA regionNegotiate and manage vendor contracts to ensure optimal service delivery and cost-effectivenessImplement a vendor scorecard system to regularly evaluate performance and drive continuous improvementFoster strong relationships with key vendors to drive innovation and service improvementsEnsure vendors comply with all relevant regulations and company policiesRisk Management and Compliance
Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international regulations, including GDPR, health and safety laws, and anti-corruption legislationImplement comprehensive risk management strategies to protect client interests and company reputationStay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes through continued education and networkingCollaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any potential issues proactivelyReporting and Analytics
Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards to track account performance across key metricsUtilize data analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement within accountsPrepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to both internal stakeholders and clientsLeverage business intelligence tools to provide data-driven insights and recommendationsTo success in this role, you’ll need-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field; MBA or relevant master's degree preferred12+ years of experience in corporate real estate services or related industry, with at least 5 years in a senior account management roleProven track record in managing large, complex client accounts across multiple countries in the EMEA regionStrong understanding of the EMEA real estate market, including local regulations, market trends, and cultural nuancesExcellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organizationDemonstrated ability to drive business growth and manage P&L for accounts of £10M+ annual revenueFluency in English; additional European languages (e.g., French, German, or Arabic) are a strong advantageProficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and presentation software (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, Tableau)RICS qualification or equivalent professional certification is desirableAdditional Information:
