EMEA ANZ Inbound Transportation Manager

Reporting to: Logistics Director

EMEA ANZ Inbound Transportation Manager is owning the Inbound Transport Cost of our DCs and Detention& Demurrage.  He must ensure the choice of carriers are in compliancy with the triptych Cost/ Quality / Lead Time with and make sure to evaluate the impact on Dcs cost.

He has to deliver annual Cost To Serve savings

He collects data and monitors the performance of our carriers through our KPIs and leads corrective actions.

He works in close collaboration with the Transportation & Compliance teams in order to put in place coherent procedures and guarantee the efficiency on our approach.

2. Main Responsibilities

Owner of Detention& Demurrage performance:

Detention& Demurrage cost owner and leading improvement to be more efficientLT Inbound from Supplier to Inbound DC to increase the stock availabilityFreight RFQ participation and give operations feedback to transportation team to make sure Cost/Quality/LT is well taken in account in the choice of partner.Give support to Inbound managers in our DCs

Process:

Propose improvement/ challenge our current custom clearance processes to speed up the stock availabilityStandardize the way of working with our partnersImplement right KPI to steer the global performance

Cost:

Budget owner of Detention& Demurrage cost for EMEA ANZConduct optimization projectsAchieve productivity and working capital improvementsDo carrier prospect and vendor management by having regular meetings / business reviewsSupport business in supply chain changes – acquisitions from transport point of view

Reporting:

Set-up KPI dashboards to monitor carrier performances (spend, transit times, quality)Report out on productivity targetsCreate clear Standard Operational Procedures

3. Requirements

Bachelor / University degree in Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain or related fieldProven experience or knowledge in Logistics/TransportStrong negotiation skillsHand-on, winners mentality, not taking no for an answerAnalytical, planning and organizational skills with attention to detailA team player with interpersonal and strong communications skills in English (other languages are a plus)Self-starter with ability to work independently, prioritizing workloads & multi-taskingDemonstrate ability of decision making and problem solvingWorks well in a pressured & demanding environmentStrong PC skills especially SAP/ERP, Excel and Access (MS office)
