About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Payroll Professional (f/m/d) to join our Global Payroll Team. This team ensures that the organization’s multiple payrolls are processed accurately and on time. This position would reside in our HR function and would be based in our EMEA Region. As part of a global team, the Payroll Professional (f/m/d) will perform essential activities required for the execution of end-to-end global payroll operations, while ensuring integrity of financial information, in accordance with internal policies and external government regulations.
This position will be located at our facility in Putzbrunn, near Munich, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities: Support payroll activities such as the reporting, collection and analysis of full-cycle payroll related data sources for use in payroll generation for all levels of the organization, across all locations and across multiple time zones Navigate complex situations, recognize problematic areas, and take ownership of communications through timely resolution Provide in-depth analysis of policies to ensure accurate application of earnings, deductions and taxable events align with regulatory, plan and internal policy guidance Manage the disbursement of payrolls across all EMEA countries, including benefits and taxes consistent with federal, state, and local regulations Audit payroll calculation methodologies and testing payroll system updates as part of on-going compliance review, providing external audits preparation & responses Evaluate, improve and maintain existing work processes by implementing lean methodology to ensure most effective use of resources and drive operation excellence, cost efficiency in accordance with global policies and best practice Build and nurture strong working relationships with all levels across the organization, 3rd party providers, and others to resolve issues and drive process improvements Establish record keeping and control systems across locations/countries to provide audit-ready books and records, while establishing internal safeguards that ensure compliance Implement internal controls and maintain compliance relating to the payroll process Take lead on local implementation of global projects to drive adhere to payroll enterprise standardsRequired Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years related experience in payroll processing and vendor management Experience using chart of accounts and understanding of basic payroll accounting while applying laws, codes, policies and procedures that impact the end-to-end payroll process across countries Experience working in virtual, multicultural, with overseas and local teams, with demonstrated decision-making and conflict-resolution skills Demonstrated knowledge of payroll administration including basics of the payroll cycle, time and attendance, gross to net, deductions, taxes, direct deposits, live checks from data collection to booking to general ledger across multiple countries especially for Germany is highly desirable Solid and current understanding of payroll rules, tax regulations, labor laws, policies and practices governing wage payments, distributions, and record keeping across multiple jurisdictions Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and influencing skills Be proactive, agile, number-sensitive, analytical and detail-oriented, critical thinker, process improvements Ability to work under pressure and perform multifaceted projects in conjunction with daily activities and handle confidential information with discretion Experienced consulting and collaborating with leaders and teams in process optimization and compliance governance projects Self-starter who can prioritize work and organize workload simultaneously with minimal supervision, passion for learning, critical thinking and high level of follow through Good written and verbal communication in English & German is a must
Desired Qualifications:
Payroll or Financial certification preferred with equivalent experience ADP Streamline or other Managed Outsourced Solution Experience with ERP & HR systems, preferably SAP or hands-on experience with SAP would be an asset
