Emergency Department Tech
Job Description

Gathers patient information for emergency room patients in the functional areas of admissions, discharges, insurance verification and emergency room treatment records.  High school diploma or GED equivalent and exhibit proficiency in patient care and oral communication skills. At least one year of experience as a nursing assistance, EMT, monitor tech, or unit secretary, preferably in the area of application. Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards under the supervision of an RN. Must obtain and maintain a current certificate in AHA CPR. Must maintain any other requirements for each specific department. Must complete required department competencies and maintain through annual review. Eligible for 401(k) and medical benefits. Schedule: Part time, Mids, 2x12s, 10:30a - 11p.
