Emergency Equipment Sales (Illinois territory)
**Job Title: Outside Sales Representative – Emergency Services Equipment (Illinois territory)** **Job Overview:** We are seeking a motivated and experienced **Outside Sales Representative** to join our team, specializing in selling emergency services equipment to local emergency providers, including fire departments, EMS teams, and other first responder organizations. This role requires regular travel to meet with customers, including occasional evenings and Saturdays. **Compensation and Benefits:** + Competitive base salary plus commission, with earning potential of **$80,000–$100,000+** annually. + Comprehensive benefits package, including: + **Paid Time Off (PTO)** + **Health Insurance** + **401(k) Retirement Plan** with company match. **Key Responsibilities:** + Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with emergency service providers. + Travel 75%+ to clients throughout Illinois (possibly some Missouri) + Promote and sell emergency services equipment to meet the specific needs of fire departments, EMS teams, and other organizations. + Conduct on-site product demonstrations and provide detailed explanations of equipment functionality. + Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed sales goals. + Travel to client locations, trade shows, and industry events, including occasional evening and Saturday appointments. + Safely tow and operate a trailer for transporting equipment to client sites as needed. **Qualifications:** + Minimum **2 years of experience as a firefighter** or in a similar emergency services role. + Proven ability to establish rapport and effectively communicate with emergency service providers. + **Valid driver’s license** with a clean driving record and ability to tow a trailer. + Flexibility to accommodate a travel-heavy schedule, including evenings and occasional Saturdays. + Strong organizational and time management skills. + **Sales experience** is highly preferred, but candidates with strong interpersonal skills and a background in emergency services will be considered. + Own a reliable vehicle that is strong enough to tow a flatbed truck with large equipment **Preferred Skills and Attributes:** + Familiarity with emergency services equipment and its applications. + Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address customer needs effectively. + Self-starter with a goal-oriented mindset and a passion for supporting first responders. **How to Apply:** If you’re ready to bring your experience in emergency services to a dynamic sales role, we’d love to hear from you!
