Summary:
Responsible for providing input into the ongoing development, enhancement and implementation of the BayCare Health System’s Integrated Emergency Management program. Advises management of potential issues and serves as a mentor to lower-level staff. Acts as the manager’s proxy when necessary. Designs, implements and facilitates site-specific emergency and disaster preparedness activities, including regular team exercises and drills; provides guidance in the preparation, implementation and maintenance of emergency plans; annually updates and submits assigned hospitals’ Comprehensive Emergency Management Plans (CEMP); and performs other duties as assigned. Serves as the primary on-site emergency management contact and representative for assigned hospitals within the BayCare system.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requirements include FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) class certification for ICS 100, 200, 300, 700, and 800. Completion of FEMA Hospital Emergency Response Training within 6 months. Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in Emergency Management or related field required, preferably 3 years in a healthcare environment. Candidates with 10+ years of experience in Emergency Management or related field may substitute experience for a Bachelor's degree. Valid Florida Driver's Licenses is required.
