Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician to join its Emergency Department team. This role will be full time mid shift; Monday – Friday, rotating weekends, 11am - 11.30pm.

Registers patients accurately, efficiently and professionally to ensure database integrity and facilitate claims processing. Requests prior electrocardiograms for Medical Director review, as appropriate, and follows medical standard operating procedures for patient intervention. Provides concise documentation of all procedures and therapies in patients' medical records is expected and performs surgical preparation of wounds according to protocol.

Training: Ideal candidate must be able to attend a 6 week training
Requirements:
Experience: EMT related experience preferred Education: High School Diploma or GED Certification: BLS and EMT-B; must either be active on the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or possess a current Virginia EMT License/Certification Training: Candidate must be able to attend six week training orientation upon hire. Special Skills: Able to read, write, speak and understand English. Computer skills.
