We are currently hiring experienced EMT’s looking to join a great team! This is a PRN Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) job opening in Aqueduct, NY.

About the role: 

PRN you will work as needed. Hours will vary during race season.  This is not your typical EMS space, we have a great team and we have a lot of fun! There is an ambulance on-site available for emergency situations.Must have NYC REMAC and Nassau County REMSCO certifications upon hire.

Essential Functions:  

Assesses nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed, or need for additional assistanceRestores and stabilizes heart rhythm on pulseless, nonbreathing patientMonitors cardiac patientAdministers initial treatment at emergency scene and takes and records patient's vital signsObserves, records, and reports to physician patient's condition, treatments, and significant incidentsAssists in extricating trapped victims and transports sick and injured persons to treatment centerCommunicates with physician, and other medical personnel in person and by radio-telephoneKeeps current on treatment techniques, protocol changes, material, and equipment.Prepares required reports and maintains records of activitiesMay drive mobile unit to and from emergency sceneCleans assigned emergency vehicleRequisitions and restocks supplies, material, and equipmentConducts safety inspections and restocking of first aid supplies as directedMay require other duties as assigned

Job Requirements: 

Completion with passing grades from an accredited Emergency Medical Technician program, EMT Certification as defined within the state in which contract existsCurrent hands on certification in health care provider ARC or AHA Basic Life Support requiredAt least three years’ experience as an EMT in an emergency room, with an ambulance/EMS service, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic

Ability to maintain confidentialitySpeak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarificationWrites clearly and informatively;Presents numerical and medical data effectively;Able to read and interpret written informationReact well under pressureKnowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing softwareKnowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records.

For individuals living in New York City only, Premise Health is required to include an estimate of the salary and benefits for this role. While a number of factors influence salary, our estimated New York City compensation is $22.50-$25.00 per hour. Please note, this is a general guideline and your experience qualifications, geographic location, and other factors will be taken into consideration.
