Corteva Agriscience, has an exciting opportunity for an Emergency Response & Safety Dispatcher (ER&S Dispatcher) at our Pittsburg, CA site. The ER&S Dispatcher role is a high impact position that requires the ability to react and make quick decisions, while constantly interfacing with a variety of people utilizing a high level of leadership skills.

What You’ll Do:
Answer incoming calls and alerts for a wide range of potential emergencies; document and probe for additional information to ensure appropriate next steps are clear.Ensure compliance with site, state and federal rules/laws.Notify and distribute alerts/jobs to personnel and or emergency services as appropriate and be accountable for job completion. Ensure on going communication to all affected parties.Have a thorough understanding of and monitor closed circuit TV, site radio frequencies, along with systems alarms; fire, intrusion, etc.Process incident reports.Maintain a thorough understanding of Emergency Response and Security related procedures.Provide site logistics support.Operate Safer System for dispersion modeling.Other duties as assigned.Education:
You have your High School Diploma/GED.What Skills You Need:
You have strong interpersonal skills, including good written and verbal communication skills.You are able to work both independently and in a team environment with limited supervision.You are able to stay calm and maintain control especially under stressful situations.You have logical problem-solving skills, and decision-making ability.You have experience and proven proficiency in computer systems and programs including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and tend to pick up quickly on new software.You have the ability to obtain a Security Guard license within a specified agreed upon time period.You have the ability to obtain your Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a specified agreed upon time period.You have a valid US drivers license so that you are able to drive on company business as needed.You are willing and able to work a rotating 12 hour shift including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.You have the ability to cross qualify as an Emergency Response and Security technicianWhat Makes You Stand Out:
Industrial and/or chemical plant experience.Firefighting certifications, confined space/high angle rescue certifications.You have a NREMT-BASIC certification and/or fire fighter training.Benefits – How We’ll Support You:
