Position Purpose
At Saint Francis Hospital the ER Tech provides direct patient care in the Emergency Room and functions as an assistant to medical providers and licensed nurses.

Provides for personal care and safety needs of patientsProvides for nutrition and elimination needs of patientsPerforms specific procedures according to patient plan of careAssists with admission, discharge and transfer for patients on and off unitCommunicates effectively with patients, family member and hospital personnelMaintains safe unit environment, supplies and equipment to facilitate patient careMinimum Qualifications
Education: High school diploma requiredExperience: EMT-B, Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant with acute care experience preferredCertification: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Ability to read, write, and speak English, and perform simple math calculations requiredAbility pass drug screening and background checkPosition Highlights and Benefits
