These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Emergency Service Officer for the Department of Emergency Services.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Performs monthly inspections of Emergency Lighting, Sprinkler Control Valves, Fire Extinguishers, and local smoke detectors in all University Housing building on the Rutgers New Brunswick and Newark Campuses. Assist Fire Safety Bureau in conducting required evacuation drills in university housing bldgs. Assist Training Bureau in conducting fire extinguisher training demonstrations.
