Veterinary Client Service Representative I/II (CARE)

Job Description:

This position is responsible for facilitating client’s visits, directing communications, with clients during their visit, and acting as a liaison between the client and the staff to ensure the visit goes smoothly. Individual must possess the ability to empathize with clients that are distressed by long waits, scheduling glitches and other problems. Individual should genuinely care about people and animals, possess excellent communication skills, highly organized, strong public relation skills, initiative to problem solve, active listening skills, confidence in handling customer interactions, relationship building skills, projecting a professional image and good interpersonal skills. Must be outgoing, full of enthusiasm and a team player. Available shifts are: Wednesday through Saturday 7 am-5:30 pm, and Sunday through Wednesday 2 pm -12:30 am.

Expected Salary:

$17.00- $20.00 hourly, pay based on experience

Minimum Requirements:

CSR I: High school diploma or equivalent and one year relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
CSR II: High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Past experience working in a veterinary hospital

Veterinary Client Service Representative I:
High school diploma or equivalent and one year relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Veterinary Client Service Representative II:
High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

This is a CARE position offering limited benefits, including health insurance and paid time off.  When appropriate certifications are achieved, promotional opportunities to a level II title may be available. This position will also become eligible for transition into a TEAMS (staff) salary plan.

Health Assessment Required: Yes; Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, bend, kneel, pull, push, twist and stand for an extended period of time.
