Emerging Middle Market Business Development Officer

Wells Fargo is seeking a Emerging Middle Market Business Development Officer (Lead Emerging Middle Market Business Development Representative) for Central & Southern New Jersey to increase momentum and drive growth with a focused effort exclusively on sourcing new relationships. In this role, you will:

Prospect companies with annual gross sales of typically between $25MM to $100MM and remain engaged until prospects are successfully converted to customersTarget establishing complete C&I relationships that are comprised of commercial lending, treasury management, deposit and other credit solutionsPartner with Commercial Relationship Managers to cross sell appropriate products and services, prioritize prospects, develop pursuit strategy, create proposals, manage new customer acquisitions, and onboarding process for customersIncrease Wells Fargo's and the Commercial Bank's relevance to prospective customers and product partners for new business opportunities through consistent marketing efforts and delivery of value added ideasParticipate in initiatives and deliverables within Commercial Banking Business Development functional areaMeet business objectives while leveraging solid understanding of functional area operations, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements with an emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation                  Collaborate and consult with Commercial Banking Business Development peers, colleagues, and middle level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Emerging Middle Market Business Development experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Proven track record and experience in direct sourcing and prospecting new clientsCommercial or Middle Market account relationship management experienceEstablished network in Central & Southern New JerseyExisting local in-market network to fuel business developmentExperience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areasTreasury Management product knowledgeExperience building relationships with community organizations and key community influencersProven ability to develop and execute a sales strategyExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsEffective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills                                                                                                     Proficient with MS Technology Platforms (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)Credit acumen demonstrated through educationRisk management experience to include understanding of the responsibility to protect sensitive informationParticipation in an industry group or organization that aligns with Wells Fargo's support of Diversity, Equity & InclusionBachelor’s degree
