Job Overview:
The EMG Technician is responsible for assisting the EMG physician with performing basic nerve conduction studies.
Qualifications:
Required:
Associate's degree or higher required.Completion of an accredited EMG training program required.Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.Electrodiagnostic Technologist registration and certification required.Minimum five (5) years of experience in the EMG field requiredPreferred:
Prior EEG Technician experience strongly preferred.Experience within a hospital settingEssential Functions:
Assist with all aspects of scheduling EMG patients.Complete and submit billing information on a daily basis for all studies performed.Maintain department medical records in a professional and confidential manner.Maintain EMG equipment and work area.
