JOB SUMMARY

The Employee Occupational Health Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing occupational health services to the employee population as indicated by policies and procedures. The primary responsibility is to provide assistance to the PA/NP in the Employee Sick Clinic and Employee Occupational Health during office hours.

Communication: Maintains good communication and a positive relationship with employees at all levels of the organization.  

Expresses information (ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively.  Makes clear and convincing presentations.  Listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.   Drafts clear, concise communication and documents.  

Decision Making: Makes sound, well-informed, and objective decisions. 

Perceives the impact and implications of decisions and commits to action to accomplish organizational goals and cause change.  Manages special projects regarding recruitment and selection.  Assesses, plans, and implements the on-boarding and staff development processes. 

Problem Solving: Uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.  

Adapts behavior or work methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles  Effectively deals with ambiguity.  Understands regulatory requirements related to Human Resources and advises leaders on questions or concerns. 

Self-Management: Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment.  

Works with minimal supervision.   Is motivated to achieve and completes assignments in a timely manner.  Demonstrates responsible behavior. 

Teamwork: Exercises skills to establish HR as a trusted, credible business partner.  

Develops and maintains excellent working relationships within HR and other business departments.  Establishes productive relationships and rapport with customers by providing timely follow up on issues/concerns.   Provides leaders with appropriate guidance on handling issues, providing rationale for recommendations so that leaders can make informed decisions. 

The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: LPN required.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in physician office and/or hospital experience preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy.

Licensure: Applicable state LPN license required.

The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
