Employee Advocate & Community Navigator
Full-Time - 30 hours/week
Pay Range: $18.75 - $24.62/hourly(Pay information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position)
The Employee Navigator is an employee resource employees can access for one-on-one coaching to assist with identifying their career, education, and life goals, while collaborating with to create a Success Plan that will assist employees in achieving their career and life goals. The coach will assist in removing barriers to goals achievement through providing connection and assistance with any other needed resources outside of employment and other areas, as well as provide additional referrals/connections including but not exclusive of housing programs, reliable transportation, workplace conflict and childcare. The Coach will achieve an understanding, knowledge, and be cross trained in all areas of bundled services (Employment, Education, Financial Coaching, and Income Support.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
+ Crisis response: Assist with emergency needs as the arise
+ Performs File and Data Maintenance
+ Document and update all service delivery in agency database in a timely manner
+ Maintain documentation in compliance with all grants
+ Collect and provide monthly data/updates to supervisor
+ Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly evaluations and follow-ups to measure participant progress and collect data necessary for grants
+ All other duties as assigned.
Community Resources and Involvement with outside Agencies:
+ Possess ability and willingness to refer employees appropriately and connect them to other interagency bundled services, and/or outside service providers
+ Utilize data driven results to continue learning and improving
+ Attend community events and professional development trainings/seminars
+ Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with community partners
+ Possess knowledge of community resources and community service providers within the Monroe and surrounding counties of Rochester, NY.
+ Utilizes Coaching Model, Methods, and Techniques:
+ Apply coaching techniques to provide support, encouragement, and motivate employees towards reaching their career and life goals
+ Demonstrate an understanding of the coaching model, utilize motivational interviewing, and a strengths-based approach
+ Possess excellent communication skills, social/interpersonal skills and writing ability
+ Assess barriers, explore resources, and provide accountability
+ Adhere to confidentiality and professional boundaries
+ Maintain organization and utilize efficient time management
+ Exercise cultural competency and awareness
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
+ Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
+ Must have excellent computer skills. (Excel, Microsoft Office, Human Resources software programs).
+ Ability to interact courteously and tactfully.
+ Good organizational skills and ability to handle confidential information.
EDUCATION:
+ Associates Degree in Human Resources / Social Work / Social services / Psychology required.
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent amount of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE:
+ Minimum of 2 years relevant experience required;
+ Healthcare experience preferred.
+ Fluency with ATS’s and HRIS systems required.
+ Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
+ Expertise with all social media platforms.
+ Established Community services network/connections
OTHER:
+ Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
+ Must be comfortable with social/in-person and electronic networking and building effective recruiting partnerships / relationships.
+ Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
+ Ability to accept supervision and constructive suggestions to improve service delivery
+ Must have reliable transportation and a current driver’s license
+ Ability to work effectively independently and in a team
+ Flexibility to work various hours and possibly evenings or weekends
+ Participate in Fund Raising activities, extracurricular events, and intake services as requested

Performing duties of this job requires prolonged sitting, occasional walking and standing. Must be able to occasionally lift loads of 30 pounds without assistance and the ability to sit, talk, and hear is required. WORKING CONDITIONS:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The majority of essential job duties are performed indoors, in a normal office environment. Employee may be exposed temperature fluctuations.
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIP:The work is performed within established guidelines and requires periodic supervision. The employee exercises some initiative and independent judgment to effectively perform the essential job duties of this position.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:Shall be fully acquainted with all safety policies and procedures of the Church Home. Takes an active role in all fire drills during the shift and/or emergencies for internal and external disasters as monitored by supervisor and incident manager. Must comply with facility in-service requirements.
