Who You Are:
You are an HR professional, labor relations specialist, or recent JD graduate passionate about workplace fairness, compliance, and effective conflict resolution. You thrive in environments that require critical thinking, negotiation, and relationship-building. You have the ability to balance organizational goals with employee needs, ensuring compliance while fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
What You’ll Do:
+ Investigations & Conflict Resolution – Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into workplace concerns such as harassment, discrimination, and grievances. Provide actionable recommendations to ensure compliance and fairness.
+ Labor Relations & Grievance Management – Assist in labor relations matters, including contract negotiations, mediation, grievance resolution, and National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) proceedings.
+ Leadership Support & Coaching – Guide managers and supervisors on employee relations best practices, policy interpretation, and labor law compliance to foster a positive and legally sound workplace.
+ Policy & Legislative Review – Contribute to policy development, staying current with employment laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements. Assist with legislative reviews to ensure compliance with evolving labor laws.
+ Litigation Support & Legal Compliance – Support litigation responses, assist in employment-related legal matters, and collaborate with legal counsel on labor disputes and compliance concerns.
+ Strategic Workforce Solutions – Analyze trends in employee relations and provide proactive recommendations to improve workplace culture, engagement, and retention.
What We’re Looking For:
Personable, High Emotional Intelligence – Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to navigate sensitive situations with professionalism, diplomacy, and tact.
Education & Experience –• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience in employee and labor relations or a related HR field preferred.• JD (Juris Doctor) highly preferred—recent law school graduates or candidates with a JD will be considered even with less than five years of experience.
HR & Labor Relations Knowledge –• Extensive knowledge of employment, wage and hour, and labor laws required. Montana labor law experience highly preferred.• HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.• Experience in grievance handling, contract negotiations, mediation, and labor law compliance.
Communication & Presentation Skills –• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present and facilitate training sessions for a variety of audiences.• Proven ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure situations.
Technology Skills –• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).• Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday, Meditech, or API preferred.
Professional Presence & Organizational Skills –• Demonstrates professionalism and serves as a role model to employees and management.• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks independently and as part of a team.

Schedule Details:
Please know schedules and shifts are subject to change based on patient care and department/organizational needs.
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
