Employee Benefits Account Executive (Regional - Atlantic)

PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid opportunity and this role requires onsite, in-office presence approximately 1 to 3 days per week at one of the following office locations: Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Wilmington, NC, Raleigh/Durham, NC, Charlotte, NC, Bethesda, MD, Knoxville, TN, Dallas, TX, Houston, TX or New Orleans, LA.

The Regional Account Executive will be responsible for working with mid-size to large accounts in multiple offices within the Atlantic Region. In this position, you will assist producers with developing and executing the clients benefit strategy and are required to have knowledge of the various funding methods (fully insured, self-insured, reference-based pricing, level funded). You will also be working with service teams in supporting and mentoring our teams with technical knowledge. You should be able to research, analyze and evaluate various employee benefits products including claims reporting, as well as be able to prepare and understand monthly client experience and financials.

Additionally the Regional AE should be able to execute the following:

Must stay on top of healthcare trends and present innovative, strategic solutions throughout the BOB managedManage requests for proposals and renewals independently. Including, negotiating with carriers and making recommendations to clientsMust be a subject matter expert on various Employee Benefit plans and funding methods as well as vendor & carrier productsAssist producers and team with prospecting new clients and handling renewals, including marketing and proposal developmentAssist and educate clients with compliance and ensure they are fully compliantDevelop and maintain a strong relationships with clients, carriers, and team members.

Qualified candidates will possess:

BA/BS preferred10+ years of health & welfare experience, meets, or exceeds, core practice competency-based skillsClient-facing experience in the employee benefit industryTechnical knowledge of benefits administration, HealthCare Reform, industry trends, carrier products and servicesAbility to work independently and anticipate client and team needsEffective time management skills, including timely communication with clientsAbility to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communicationsDetail-orientedAdvanced critical thinking skillsStrong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skillsLife, Accident and Health Insurance License requiredGBA or CEBS Certification a plus
