We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Employee Benefits Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the client relationships and account life cycle for our small group clients. You will serve as the main point of contact and work closely with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure the highest level of service and satisfaction.

Own the client relationship and account life cycle from post-sale and serve as the main point of contact.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date account records, including client interactions, transactions, and any changes to policies or coverage.
Monitor carrier/benAdmin discrepancy reports.
Complete new client onboard and vendor installation workstreams.
Interpret eligibility structures, plan specifications, and contribution logic.
Attend client meetings as needed.
Coordinate and run in-person and virtual OE Meetings as needed.
Craft Open Enrollment presentations and create pre-recorded videos as needed.
Review all communication materials, system builds, and benefits website.
Lead or work in conjunction with the Producer/AE to onboard new clients.
Collect and maintain all relevant policy and plan documents.
Run benefits compliance activities, communicate updates, and send reminders to clients.
Technical Competencies
Ensure the timely update of client policy, client service agreement, commission, and chargeback data in Epic/monday.
Respond to inquiries posted in Epic Activities initiated by EB, Accounting, Platform Services, and Enterprise Application Teams.
Service clients using Microsoft 365 products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Teams, and OneNote.
Fulfill client activities using a variety of software applications including vendor portals, client BenAdmin systems, and internal systems (e.g., Zywave, Mineral, etc.).
Navigate Sharepoint, AcriWorld, Workday, and Service Portal to source and exchange information, and request internal support services.
Submit eligible reimbursement requests through Concur.
Create/facilitate client communication collateral using InDesign and marq.
Utilize Tech Team expertise to resolve issues system data trade and eligibility issues.
Prepare vendor enrollment file by extracting demographic and eligibility data from client benAdmin system or alternate source.
Exercise knowledge of all group coverage types (e.g., medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary, EAP, FSA/HSA/HRA, etc.) daily to educate client and employees.
Use payroll and benAdmin system principles to procure necessary data to research/resolve issues and complete projects.
Run post-OE data audit and delegate to support team as needed.
Tactical Competencies
Review and understand client policy provisions and plan coverage.
Collaborate with Client/Producer to vet and demo solution partners (e.g., FSA/HSA/HRA, COBRA administrators, EB apps, et al) as requested by the client.
Anticipate client needs and offer initiative-taking support.
Identify solutions through proactive research, troubleshooting, and collaboration.
Take the lead on all Account Management activities and delegate to appropriate team members and shared services as needed.
Apply foundational knowledge of legislative mandates (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA) to problem solve administration inquiries.
Run/prepare renewal census data for AE/Producer to market group plans.

Requirements:
Thoroughly enjoy taking great care of customers
Desire to manage a book of business and maintain relationships
Strong knowledge of insurance products and coverage.
Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables
Strong ability to remain calm under pressure
Ability to develop meaningful relationships with insurance carriers and with fellow employees
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
Education/Experience:
High school diploma, college education preferred
Life and Health License required
Experience working in the CA benefits marketplace
Minimum 3 years of progressive employee benefits insurance experience (brokerage experience preferred). Small group (20-49 lives) experience required. Insurance designations a plus.

Pay Details:
