As a member of the Northrop Grumman Employee Communications, Content and Channel Strategy team, the Employee Commutations Representative (Level 2 or 3) will help drive the innovation, development, and execution of Northrop Grumman’s employee engagement strategy, working across Centers of Practice (CoPs) and business sectors to execute a broad scale rollout across Northrop Grumman’s diverse employee population across all 50 states and internationally.
A key focus for Northrop Grumman is to build an industry-leading capabilities ecosystem that enables the most impactful employee communications. It will require an interconnected ecosystem encompassing channel strategy and content strategy and supporting analytics to reach the right employee audiences at the right time.
You will work closely with various teams to drive the evolution of our end-to-end enterprise content capabilities. This full-time position reports to the Manager of Communications for Content & Channel Strategy within the Employee Communications Center of Practice (CoP).
Responsibilities:
Lead the enterprise CoP content analysis activities by providing a point of view on CoP content decision-making, helping to surface opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Own and produce a bi-weekly leadership newsletter; this person will be responsible for the creation and distribution, from gathering content and visuals to editing, to distributing and posting content across the enterprise and sending it out to our employee population.
Create strategic, targeted content and related resources for internal channels as needed to foster employee engagement.
Support the management and maintenance of enterprise internal communications channels with a commitment to being process-driven and storytelling-led.
Be an advocate for high quality, on-brand content, ensuring anything produced for our internal channels and/or for distribution to employees aligns with Northrop Grumman’s brand voice and messaging guidelines.
Think creatively and be a thought leader on innovative ways to engage with employees and develop out our new content strategy.
Help lead the charge in enterprise operational efficiency and effectiveness initiatives.
Build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders; serve on cross functional teams that include leadership and other Communications function colleagues across the enterprise.
Manage the corporate email inbox, identifying the right person to respond and / or respond as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (ideally in Communications, English, Journalism, or related field) with two (2) years of experience successfully developing and deploying communications practices OR Master's degree from accredited university (ideally in Communications, English, Journalism, or related field).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong judgement, problem solving and organizational skills, and superb attention to detail.
Experience in employee or executive communications.
Experience utilizing content management systems and online collaboration tools, such as SharePoint, Teams, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (ideally in Communications, English, Journalism, or related field) with five (5) years of experience successfully developing and deploying communications practices OR Master's degree from accredited university (ideally in Communications, English, Journalism, or related field) with three (3) years of professional communications experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong judgement, problem solving and organizational skills, and superb attention to detail.
Experience in employee or executive communications.
Experience utilizing content management systems and online collaboration tools, such as SharePoint, Teams, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Adobe suite of products is a plus, as is a basic understand of HTML.
Experience with AP Style.
Experience producing omni-channel editorial content for a newspaper, news channel, video, magazine or other venue.
Experience working on/with an editorial board, in publishing or similar is an added bonus.
Salary Range: $70,600.00 - $105,800.00Salary Range 2: $87,000.00 - $130,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
