Job Summary
As our Director of Human Resources, you are responsible for overseeing key HR functions, including compliance, benefits administration, risk mitigation, and HR policy implementation across all 50 states and applicable international locations. This role ensures HR policies and programs align with company values, Federal Department of Labor (DOL) regulations, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) guidelines, corporate compliance standards, payday laws, and labor laws to create a compliant and well-supported workplace.

Responsibilities and Duties
+ Home Base Benefits Administration
+ Administer Home Base employee benefits, including healthcare enrollment, PTO tracking, and retirement plans.
+ Support employees with benefits-related inquiries and assist with claims processing.
+ Oversee the Concierge (MEC) plan for caregivers, ensuring accessibility and compliance.
+ Compliance & Policy Management
+ Ensure office compliance with Federal Department of Labor (DOL) regulations, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), corporate compliance policies, and state payday laws.
+ Monitor and update HR policies to align with industry regulations and best practices.
+ Assist in audits related to HR, labor law compliance, and corporate governance, ensuring adherence to FLSA wage and hour regulations.
+ Implement, refine, and manage the company’s state-specific HR policies and procedures across all 50 states.
+ Risk Mitigation & Employee Relations
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for Field Operations regarding all HR-related tasks.
+ Answer all concerns sent to the HR email and provide timely resolutions.
+ Oversee employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution, ensuring all actions comply with Federal Department of Labor, FLSA, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and corporate compliance guidelines.
+ Develop strategies to mitigate legal and compliance risks within HR operations, including adherence to state payday laws and wage regulations.
+ HR Systems & Administration
+ Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and benefits systems.
+ Generate workforce reports on compliance and HR metrics.
+ Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for legal and compliance purposes, in line with DOL, FLSA, FMLA and corporate compliance record-keeping requirements.
+ Offboarding & Exit Process
+ Process employee terminations, ensuring compliance with Federal Department of Labor requirements, state-specific employment laws, and payday laws.
+ Coordinate benefits termination and return of company property.
+ Ensure all offboarding procedures align with legal and company policies
Qualifications and Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
+ 3+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 in a leadership role.
+ Strong knowledge of Federal Department of Labor regulations, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), corporate compliance policies, and payday laws.
+ Experience managing benefits administration, compliance audits, risk mitigation, and labor law adherence.
+ Exceptional problem-solving, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
+ HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR) preferred.
