Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field requiredExperience in employee learning and development, HR, or educational program management.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with employees at all levels.Proficiency in program management tools and learning management systems (LMS).Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate program metrics and make data-driven decisions.Knowledge of corporate tuition assistance programs and educational resources is required, particularly in the North Carolina University System.

Skills:

Strong organizational and project management skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.Proficient in financial aid systems, software, and tools (e.g., FAFSA, CRM systems).Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Key Competencies:

Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial aid regulations.Extensive knowledge of the North Carolina University System.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Conditions

Remote or typical office environment, with travel to Monarch sites to meet with employees, travel to schools or community organizations for outreach and events.Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed for events or deadlines.

This Opportunity:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Employee Educational Assistance Director to support our workforce in achieving their educational and professional development goals. This role will oversee the educational assistance program, guide employees on learning opportunities, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate is passionate about employee growth, skilled in program management, committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and have an extensive knowledge of the North Carolina University System.

What You'll Do:

Educational Support: Assist employees in identifying relevant courses, certifications, or degree programs to support career development and align with organizational needs.

Program Administration: Manage the day-to-day operations of the educational assistance program, including processing applications, tracking budgets, and ensuring timely reimbursements/financial assistance. 

Financial Assistance Administration: Research and coordinate financial assistance programs for employees, including scholarships, grants, and loan options.  Develop and maintain a database of available funding opportunities. Manage application cycles, deadlines, and eligibility requirements for financial assistance.  Assist students and families in navigating financial aid applications (e.g., FAFSA, institutional aid, or external funding). Provide counseling to students on available financial aid options and repayment plans. Conduct workshops, webinars, or one-on-one sessions to educate students about financial aid literacy.

Advising & Guidance: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees seeking educational resources, providing personalized guidance on eligibility, program options, and long-term career development strategies.

Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external training providers, academic institutions, community partners and online learning platforms to establish partnerships and negotiate discounts or customized programs.

Employee Engagement: Promote the educational assistance program through internal communications, workshops, and one-on-one sessions to maximize employee participation.

Policy Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with the organization's educational assistance policies and applicable local, state and federal regulations. Prepare accurate and timely reports on financial aid distributions, student outcomes, and program impacts.

Program Evaluation: Collect feedback, track outcomes, and analyze data to measure the program's effectiveness and recommend improvements.
