Under the general supervision of the assigned manager, the Employee Engagement Analyst will support the organization’s efforts to foster a positive workplace culture by analyzing engagement data, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and developing strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and retention. This role is integral in helping the organization understand the factors driving engagement, providing insights to improve workplace morale, and delivering/supporting initiatives that build a culture of engagement, collaboration, and productivity.
Duties/Responsibilities
Data Collection & Analysis
+ Gather, organize, and analyze data from employee engagement surveys, exit interviews, focus groups, and other feedback sources.
+ Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate employee engagement trends and sentiment insights.
+ Track and report on KPIs related to employee engagement, including turnover rates and productivity levels.
Survey Design & Administration
+ Design and implement pulse surveys, ensuring questions are aligned with organizational goals.
+ Facilitate and coordinate the annual employee engagement survey process. Assist with the development of departmental action plans.
+ Analyze survey results and work with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement based on feedback.
Insight Generation & Reporting
+ Generate actionable insights from data analysis, identifying trends, patterns, and areas for improvement within the workforce.
+ Provide regular reports and presentations to HR leadership and senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Program Support & Implementation
+ Assist in the planning and executing of engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, engagement, team-building events, and training sessions.
+ Partner with internal teams to promote initiatives that support employee satisfaction, productivity, and professional growth.
Stakeholder Collaboration
+ Work closely with department directors to align engagement strategies with organizational objectives.
+ Act as a point of contact for employees, providing support and gathering feedback on engagement programs and organizational development initiatives.
Performs other related job duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Maintain confidentiality on work-related issues and City information.
+ May be required to respond after hours, including holidays and weekends, in the event of a function or departmental or City-wide emergency.
+ Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and create actionable recommendations.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effectively presenting insights and working collaboratively.
+ Knowledge of HR practices and understanding of employee engagement principles.
+ Knowledge of organizational development strategies and initiatives.
+ Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to groups and individuals.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
+ A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, organizational psychology, or a related field is required.
+ One (1) year of proficient experience in HR analytics, employee engagement, or a similar role.
Additional Preferred Skills
+ Master’s degree in a related field.
+ Experience with employee engagement frameworks (e.g., Gallup Q12, eNPS).
+ Familiarity with change management principles and organizational development.
+ Certification in data analytics or HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
