**Resumen**
Environmental Coordinator position is responsible for implementing, analyzing, reporting, and overseeing all environmental, training, and legal programs for Hussmann. This position will manage our EHS Management System for the Monterrey plant and all processes. This candidate will also drive and implement Hussmann's environmental programs with the Monterrey EHS team (and other Hussmann group plants). The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for Hussmann's Environmental Programs, adherence to EPA guidelines, SEMARNAT, CONAGUA, and other government environmental agencies in Mexico, Environmental and Safety Hazards, Job Analysis and Environmental and Safety Policies. Maintain records and participate in audits, among other tasks. This position will organize activities to obtain ISO 14001 certification. This position will be the subject matter expert for environmental training and will drive or initiate actions to prevent accidents or environmental impacts on both machinery and plant processes. In addition, you will participate in strategic and corporate initiatives related to environment, health, and safety in the areas of responsibility.
**Responsabilidades**
+ _Directs the implementation of the Hussmann Environmental Program, including the development of safety methods, procedures and policies based on Hussmann/Panasonic guidelines. Oversees the EHS Management System audit, analysis of Hussmann metrics (% Recycling Rate) and improvement system (SQCDM metricĀ“s & Safety Thermometer). Identifies and evaluates conditions that could produce environmental impacts in our operation, as well as assessing the potential extent of fines resulting from environmental accidents or omissions to legal requirements. Prepares reports on identified conditions and measures taken to mitigate potential exposure (A3 Analysis)._
+ _Develop and improvement the EHS Management System of Hussmann Monterrey. Drive the current system requirements (with planned inspections, audits, etc.) and implement solutions to achieve corporate and local expectations, especially about environmental issues._
+ _Leads the organization to reduce all environmental aspects and/or impacts that jeopardize the continuity of the business, and impact on the community, as well as the health and safety of our people. This position participates and spearheads in our Hazmat Brigade in plant and assist too in the management and/or committees to development of recycling policies and procedures to reduce and control the environmental aspects and impacts of our operations (emissions, hazardous and nonhazardous wastes, wastewater, etc.)_
+ _Responsible for the work team in charge of segregating and registering special handling waste (with external recycling company personnel), as well as the development and contact with environmental suppliers._
+ _Responsibilities for this position includes the identification of environmental aspects in operations, the elimination or reduction of environmental impacts of hazards, developing protocols for an emergency response in our operation and communicating it to employees through of programs and protocols of communication through of procedures, training, implementation of operational controls, etc. This position will also develop EHS Alerts for the prevention of environmental accidents and participate in critical equipment audit processes as an expert in the field (installation of new equipment, changes in processes, etc.)._
+ Update the matrix of environmental risks and critical operating controls to cover environmental aspects (and avoid chemical spills, parameters outside legal limits, mixture of waste, etc.)
+ Maintain the critical information of the operation to comply with legal requirements before environmental agencies (CONAGUA, SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, etc.) through the personnel under their charge.
+ Ensures that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal and state requirements and standards to reduce environmental impacts and fines. This position has responsibility of monitor the facility and processes for adherence to SEMARNAT, PROFEPA and CONAGUA guidelines, and other legal requirements (NOMs, Energy, etc.)
+ Development of best environmental practices to make the operation more efficient.
+ This position helps to ensure that Potential Environmental Impacts are communicated and resolved (through EHS Alerts and A3 analysis) and ensure that all aspects of Emergency Response Plan are met with the support of the rest of EHS team.
**Calificaciones**
+ 0 - 5 years of experience.
+ Relevant knowledge about environmental regulations preferably, and safety, critical thinking, sampling methods, mathematical skills, and project management.
+ Knowledge of hazardous materials and waste management, procedures, and handling.
+ Skill in developing and administering training for large audiences. Ability to communicate with employees at all levels.
+ Skill in the use of various computer applications such as MS Office, Teams, and Outlook.
+ Experience using government agency platforms (CONAGUA, COA, STPS, etc.).
+ Skill in data analysis and reporting of results.
+ Ability to communicate in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
+ Experience in the management of water treatment plants (physical, chemical and/or biological).
+ ISO 14001 internal auditor, knowledge of environmental management system.
+ Strong critical and innovative thinking skills
+ Experience in budget management.
+ Be an empathetic person and enjoy teamwork.
+ Proactive person with experience in team leadership.
