What You'll Be Doing Performs employee annual screenings and vaccinations as per provider guidelinesAccurately obtain vital signs and report abnormal findings to nurse manager\Prepare patient record/chart for appointmentAccompanies patients to exam/procedure room and assists with walking transfers, dressings, collecting specimens, preparing for exams etc.Obtain patient demographics and informationInterview patients for case histories prior to appointmentsUnderstand and maintain patient confidentiality during check-in proceduresUnderstand proper infection control procedures such as handwashing and proper disposal of used materialsMaintains temperature log as required for refrigeration of medicationsAssemble and maintain medical instrumentsAssists nurse manager with a variety of proceduresAnswers incoming calls, address queries and ensure quality customer serviceAssist patients with initial paperworkFulfills patient care responsibilities, including checking schedules, confirming appointments and organizing patient flowSending and receiving patient’s medical recordsUpdate, maintain and file patients’ health recordsUse medical and Microsoft Office software to support all transactions, including maintenance of accurate compliance list for both annual screenings and influenza vaccinationsCollaborate with clinician/manager to maintain and order office suppliesReview office voice messages and return calls as neededSending notifications to employees needing follow ups via post or inter-office mailPerforms other related duties as required and assigned What We're Looking For
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree program or Technical School.EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one year of recent experience working in a medical facility or externship completion in a medical office.LICENSURE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), State of New Jersey.CPR Certification.Full Time Day Shift Monday thru Friday
