Purpose
The Employee Health Coordinator supports the employee health program by providing administrative and clinical assistance. This role is responsible for coordinating health services, maintaining records, and assisting in the implementation of wellness initiatives.
Responsibilities
Health Program Coordination: Acts as primary point of contact for new employees contacting the Employee Health program. Schedule and coordinate employee health services, such as physical exams, vaccinations, and screenings. Coordinates and organizes employee medical records/work statuses/results within the electronic health record to ensure organized, comprehensive, and accurate information in compliance with HIPAA.
Clinical Support: Administers vaccinations, reviews records, performs basic diagnostic tests and assist with first aid under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider. Provide support during employee health emergencies or post-exposure follow-ups. Maintain employee health scheduling template within the electronic health record.
Education and Wellness: Communicate with employees to ensure follow-through with referrals. Supports wellness programs, including health fairs, flu shot campaigns, and educational workshops. Serve as a resource to employees regarding health and wellness questions and refer complex cases to the Employee Health Nurse or Manager.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensures accuracy of client protocols including contact, required screenings, and work comp billing insurance information. Track employee compliance with immunization and health screening requirements. Assist in compiling reports related to workplace injuries and illnesses.
Other related duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsHigh school graduation or GED. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification. At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, such as patient registration, scheduling and/or clinical care. Familiarity with OSHA standards and workplace safety procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred QualificationsExperience working within an occupational health or employee health program.
Salary Range$45,000+ depending on qualifications
