Job Summary

\n

You'll be an Employee Health Nurse (LVN), promoting staff health and safety. Tasks include leading an Employee Health Program to detect, prevent, and treat diseases. You'll manage follow-ups after staff exposure to hazards and conduct health screenings and vaccinations. Your goal is a safe, healthy workplace.

\n

What You'll Do

\n

The Employee Health LVN:

\n\nIdentifies workers with potential health risks or limitations and directs them to suitable resources for further assistance.\nActs as a support system for staff, responding to queries and concerns related to employee health.\nSupervises health initiatives for workers, like Flu campaign and Tuberculosis screening for new hires and volunteers.\nConducts yearly fit tests or Powered Air Purifying Respirator training sessions for designated employees.\nManages workers' exposure to risks and hazards. Arranges follow-up testing for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV, and Tuberculosis.\n-Manages tracking worker exposure to identify health risks.\nMonitors employee exposure to diseases.\nProvides health education to staff through training and resources. Plans, executes, and conducts yearly Tuberculosis and blood-borne pathogen training sessions.\nHandles confidential employee health files and responsible for authorized records release.\n\n

What Will Make You Successful In The Role

\n\nHaving a clear understanding of health and safety laws is key.\nFamiliarity with the methods and techniques employed by professional nurses to assess, care for, and treat patients.\nI have experience offering consistent, high-quality acute care, screenings, immunization, health education, and well-being services to employees.\nAbilities related to preventing both illnesses and injuries are beneficial.\nExcellent verbal and written communication abilities.\nProven skills in social interaction and organization.\nThe ability to effectively use critical thinking and prior experience in performing comprehensive risk and health assessments.\nProficiency in planning, executing, reviewing, and enhancing wellness programs and services for our employees' health.\nSkilled in documenting, tracking, and studying the occupational exposures of our employees to detect any safety and health concerns.\nAble to handle health and safety risks promptly as they come about.\nPrepared to stay calm and make quick, clear choices during emergencies.\nThe ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.\n\n

\n\nGrad of an Accredited Program\nMinimum of (2) two years of experience in the relevant field is required for this role\nMust have a valid basic support (BLS) certifications\nValid License Pract/Vocational Nurse (LVN)\n
