Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Employee Health and Director of People Health and Wellness, the Employee Health Nurse will:
Work as a member of the team to advance the organization’s employee health and wellness program. Contribute to and communicate the organizational wellness strategy with annual goals, measures and programming that inspires and engages organizational members in better health, wellness and wellbeing. Work with People Department colleagues to accomplish an engaging, welcoming and memorable new employee onboarding experience, including requirements that can be accomplished during the pre-employment and post NEO experience. Document and track required employee immunizations, including annual vaccine clinics. Assure employees have been Fit-tested for N95 masks, understand ways to prevent injuries and exposures, and round with employees to assure their safety needs are met. Serve as an organizational contributor to employee safety needs. Conduct workplace injury investigations in a timely manner—working with affected individuals and their team to mitigate and resolve concerns. Serve as a key organizational resource in the timely tracking, documentation and follow up with employees impacted by pandemics or epidemics—assuring employees are safe and educating them to reduce exposure risks. Communicate with employees and their supervisors about work restrictions or return-to-work dates. Relay Information on confirmed or suspected cases to infection prevention as well as to the Lewis and Clark Public Health Department or applicable public health department. Other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Excellent organization skills to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously and practice independent judgment to prioritize work with deadlines. Excellent communication skills, follow-up, and high level of interpersonal skills required.
EDUCATION: Bachelor degree or associate degree in nursing.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Current Montana License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) is required. BLS certification required.
Aptitudes: Demonstrated ability to use spreadsheet program (Excel preferred) to analyze data and prepare accurate and easily interpreted reports. Meditech experience preferred. Strong proficiency in office software required (Microsoft preferred); demonstrated ability to develop clear and understandable human resource policies. Demonstrated ability to research best practices and incorporate into current systems. Demonstrated ability to use feedback from diverse individuals or groups and implement an effective solution, including ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Demonstrated ability to implement decisions using effective interpersonal skills and without sacrificing relationships. Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and manage a project with limited supervision. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities effectively and to easily adapt to change. A customer-centered philosophy, high ethical standards and the ability to deal with confidential information are required.
