Maintains a seamless process of FMLA administration for the entire GBMC health system: point of contact for requests, assessment of approval/denial, expiration notification, maintenance of records, communications/notices, resolution of acute problems/challenges, recertification/second opinions, ethical guidance.Acts as a general system resource and administrative guide for questions about FMLA, General Leave (GLOA), Disability, and ADA Accommodation requests; and develops ongoing training for health system leadership on leave.Accurately maintains records for DA Accommodations requests. (manages temporary parking assignments due to medical conditions as part of accommodation requests)Maintains current knowledge of FMLA laws and regulations and adheres to all Federal and State guidelines. Additionally, maintains working knowledge of ADA, HIPAA, and other laws and regulations affecting leave, accommodations, and privacy.Maintains medical leave reports, including usage, for FMLA and other types of medical leave.Document and maintain confidential records in Employee Health Services.Maintain partnership with HR teams and department leadership.Supports health system management of workers compensation: TPA/SISCO liaison and primary adjuster contact, co-facilitates meetings with TPA, prepares and reviews workers’ compensation reports and workers’ compensation financials with EHS Director and HR VP, maintains state and federal reporting requirements, provides input for legal strategies, facilitates workers’ compensation information collection (RCAs and database), RCA analysis (benchmarking and reporting), actively participates on the needlestick prevention taskforce, manages straight-forward bloodborne pathogen follow-up.Provides general support for Employee Health Services operations: policies, procedures, standard work/processes, metrics, dashboards, spreadsheets.Triage telephone calls and in person visitors to determine level of service needed. Provide assistance for routine matters such as processing return to work notes and ensure timely and confidential customer focused service. Answer a variety of inquiries following departmental procedures.Actively participate in multidisciplinary hospital wide committees.Screens telephone calls and visitors for nursing triage, taking care of routine matters, and ensuring timely and confidential customer-focused service. Answer inquiries following instructions and departmental procedures.Types and formats a variety of documents such as letters, memoranda, reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and forms from a rough draft, using a variety of software applications; proofreads work for typographical errors, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Composes correspondence as assigned and independently prepares recurring correspondence.Maintain administrative aspects of employee incident management processes.Maintains the organization of the employee incident record keeping systems, and enters, updates, and retrieves information stored in files and databases.Gathers materials, obtains documents and background information, and assists in development and preparation of a variety of confidential, specialized, and/or recurring reports and other purposes in accordance with specific instructions.Superuser for Leave Management in Workday.Coordinates specific office operations such as daily workflow, inventory and supplies, equipment repairs and maintenance, customer service problem resolution, and scheduling of staff.Coordinates and/or maintains policy manuals and applicable resource materials for department/unit, using electronic, web-based, or manual tools and resources.Coordinates among hospital managers, with investigations and Root Cause Analysis processes.Prepares/reviews safety reports, trend injury statistics, and analyzes accident and illness statistics.Coordinates communication with disabled employees missing time from work.Participates in workplace safety initiatives.Ensures that OSHA and other state and federal required documentation and reporting requirements are maintained.Other duties as assigned.All roles must demonstrate GBMC Values

$25.88 - $42.44Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
