Job Summary:

Our Employee Relations Team is growing!  The primary responsibility for the Employee Relations Consultants team is to ensure positive, fair, and consistent employee relations at The Standard. These roles conduct confidential, effective, prompt, thorough and impartial workplace investigations into allegations of inappropriate conduct such as policy violations, workplace conflicts, discrimination, and harassment by determining the appropriate investigatory tactics, analyzing the information obtained to reach reasonable conclusions, and devising the appropriate remediation responses.

Role responsibilities also include:

The role reviews for approval escalated progressive disciplinary actions and all requests for termination.Coaches, mentors, and advises people managers with understanding and interpreting policy and procedures related to management practices. Conducts employee & manager training to upgrade managerial skills in creating a high-performance team.Key contributor, at times lead, of projects of various complexities relating to employee relations issues, including implementation and communication of HR strategies and practices around performance management and management development. 

Skills and Background You’ll Need

Undergraduate degree in business, human resources, or related field. Masters preferred, or equivalent experience.6-8 years progressively experience with employee relations issues or other relevant HR and management experience.Demonstrated experience in project management required. Hands-on experience in development and execution of a project plan requirements.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, express ideas clearly and persuasively in written, oral and presentation form.Has excellent listening skills, is objective, collaborative, a strong critical thinker and solid professional maturity.Able to effectively build rapport and relationships with management and employees to maintain a reputation as a resource and confidante.Assesses data from employee relations issues to identify themes within departments or divisions and recommends proactive solutions to positively affect work environment and company results.Maintains a current working knowledge of employment law practices and regulations.Create, deliver and facilitate content for employee and manager trainings.   Continued education in employment law.Certificate from Association of Workplace Investigators preferred

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$74,500.00 - $108,750.00
