Job Summary:

The Employee Relations Manager plays a pivotal role in executing the employee relations strategy, working closely with the Director to ensure alignment across all key accountabilities, including case management, performance improvement, policy application, and labor relations. Overseeing a team of Advisors across the US and Mexico/LATAM, the Manager ensures effective and consistent delivery of employee relations processes. Focused on day-to-day operations, this role also works on strategic projects and occasionally takes on high-level or high-risk cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Director in driving the team's key accountabilities, including performance improvement, policy management, and leveraging data analysis & reporting to provide actionable insights.Lead and mentor a team of Employee Relations Advisors, ensuring consistency in case management and effective execution of processes across regions.Oversee the intake process managed by the Advisors, ensuring cases are escalated appropriately and assigned to Senior Advisors as needed.Provide day-to-day direction to Senior Advisors, ensuring balanced caseloads and supporting the resolution of complex investigations.Handle escalated and high-risk employee relations cases, providing guidance to ensure fair and timely resolutions.Lead projects focused on Employee Relations process and service improvements, and implement best practices to enhance the effectiveness of the team.Collaborate with HR and legal teams on footprint changes (start-up sites and site closures) and RIFs, ensuring both regulatory compliance and exceptional support to impacted employees.Track and monitor KPI performance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and recommending improvements to minimize risk.Evaluate and improve ER processes, exploring opportunities for process optimization and automation to streamline workflows and enhance team efficiency.Deliver coaching and education to leaders on effective employee relations practices, including performance improvement and consistent application of HR policies.Support labor relations activities, including advising on contract interpretation and union negotiations.Execute the Employee Relations annual governance cycle and communication plan, ensuring timely stakeholder reporting and leading the planning and implementation of quarterly ER campaigns on relevant topics to enhance leadership practices.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.Experience: 7+ years of experience in employee relations or HR, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.Skills: Strong leadership/delegation skills, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, team leadership, and experience handling escalated cases and performance improvement processes.Other: Knowledge of regional labor laws, experience with metrics and reporting (e.g., KPIs), and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Work Authorization: Must be Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.Location: Individuals based in the St. Louis, MO, Kennesaw, GA, or Dayton, OH areas preferred.
