Chubb is hiring for an Employee Relations Specialist!
This role operates on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote). Ideally, the ER Specialist will sit in our San Francisco, CA or Los Angeles, CA offices. Other Chubb office locations may be considered.
Essential Job Functions
Provides consultation, support and guidance to Managers and HR Business Partners in assigned areas. Manages performance or conduct issues in accordance with employment policies and practices. Conducts investigations of employee complaints and disputes within company policy; ensures appropriate documentation of findings and recommends corrective action and/or appropriate resolution. Provide training and coaching to managers on best practices for employee relations, disciplinary procedures and compliance with internal policies. Collaborates with management to identify, develop and implement employee relations strategies to foster a positive and productive work environment. Proactively provides consultation to identify and mitigate risks related to organization changes. Strong knowledge of California employment regulations and other statutory laws required.Demonstrated credibility as a trusted advisor to leaders; effective relationship skills; ability to engage with employees and leaders at all levels.Ability to influence outcomes.Highly developed communication skills including effective writing style, presentation development, listening and ability to articulate a point of view clearly and persuasively.Strong knowledge of HR Policies, practices and processes and the ability develop and implement policy.Bachelor of Science degree in an HR or business discipline or equivalent experience.Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality regarding employee information.Demonstrated organization skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively on a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; ability to quickly learn new technology, such as case management and HR systems.The pay range for the role is $90,000-$125,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
