Employment Developer
Compass, Inc. a progressive, non-profit organization that supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is seeking a highly skilled, self-starter for the position of Employment Developer with a demonstrated record of  developing partnerships with employers in the community to support a customized employment experience to the individuals supported at Compass. Under the general supervision of the Director of Community Engagement and Employment, the Employment Developer is responsible for developing partnerships with employers in the community to support a customized employment experience to the individuals supported at Compass. He/she supervises the entire Employment program and builds/manages employer relationships.  The Employment Developer is responsible for activities involving the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote the agency's services. The Employment Developer is responsible for monitoring and analyzing program metrics.    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position .  This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties and/or skills required .  Other duties may be assigned.     + Demonstrate a strong understanding and dedication to Compass’s mission. Actively promote and represent organization’s philosophy through all interactions with both internal and external customers.  + Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the agency's services.   + Monitor and analyze metrics on all Employment services.  + Collaborate with the communications program to produce marketing materials such as brochures, ads, and online content.  + Identify and reach out to potential employer partners to establish and nurture relationships to create / maintain inclusive and customized integrated job opportunities.  +  D evelopment of micro enterprises and other customized employment opportunities for people supported to include marketing strategy.    + Create and manage marketing campaigns across various channels including digital, social media, and traditional media.   + Knowledge of LTSS billing system and DDA billing requirements. Full understanding of and belief in Employment First Initiative.    + Coordinate with local and governmental organizations and maintain contracts with affiliates including memberships to employment networks and chambers of commerce.   + C ompletion of 90-day and annual review for Employment Coordinator.     + Conduct and document informational interviews and coordinate meetings with potential employers to learn about the businesses, their operations, the business cultures, the work environments, and current or anticipated future opportunities and challenges facing each business.   + Attend industry events, job fairs, and networking opportunities to connect with potential employers and promote the agency.   + Foster a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork and effective problem-solving.    + Manage and review data collection for ongoing programmatic progress toward goals and outcomes .   + Create agreement s with business or community partners that promote a win-win situation for both job seeker and employer.     The Ideal Candidate Should Possess: + Ability to network professionally with other employers in the community and create partnerships to create meaningful and competitive employment opportunities for people supported.    + Ability to think outside of the box of typical service provision and create exciting and engaging employment opportunities for all people supported .     + Ability to utilize and follow technological procedures/processes established by Compass, and ability to train staff with e xcellent communication skills, both oral and written.   + Knowledge of all DDA waiver services, updates, and billing requirements. Willingness to undergo training for service updates as required .    + Knowledge of Employment First Initiative and DDA updates as given .     + Receive POMS , ACRE, and Coach Approach Training and CESP certification within the first 90 days of employment (other training may also be required ). Management of APSE member trainings opportunities and DDA employment updates.   + Ability to work through conflict in a way the yields positive, meaningful results .     + D ocumentation of all contacts with local community partners and employers.   + Ability to work independently .     + Ability to receive criticism or negative feedback .     + Effective advocacy skills: proven ability to establish and maintain working relationships, respond to individuals in a timely manner , use independent judgment and initiative, and to access services.    + Basic knowledge of COMAR standards and state regulations.    + Working knowledge of and commitment to self-determination principles and a willingness to provide supports at a time, location, and in a manner that meets the various needs of individuals served.    + Ability to facilitate empowerment of individuals through promoting independence, self-determination and creativity in plannin g   + Strong belief in opportunities for full inclusion and community engagement for people we support and m indset that supports the notion that all people are capable of full community inclusion and have the right to work for fair/competitive wages .         Qualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.     Education and/or Experience   Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University in human services, marketing , business administration, communications or a related field or equivalent combination of experience and completion of co llege credits. Master’s degree preferred. P rior experience supporting individuals with disabilities, and collaboration with other organizations preferred. Some business/marketing experience preferred.      Certifications   All DDA required employment training to include ACRE, CESP, and any other applicable certifications.  Valid state driver’s license required with a good driving record (subject to Company approval) .  Ability to pass Company background check and medical screening may also be required .   Compensation and Work Conditions : Competitive salary.  Eligible for Compass’ full-time benefit package which includes health, vision, dental, short-term disability, life insurance, 401K retirement with generous employer match, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO.)
