The Employment Professional will play a key role in both seeking and maintaining employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Employment Professional + Salary:       $20.23/hour + Job Type:  Full Time + Location:   La Plata Duties Include but not limited to: + Identify employment opportunities with the people supported based on individualized assessment information through assessments and inventories. + Conducts individualized job development by speaking with employers in the community about the person's abilities and desires to obtain employment. + Assist participants in preparing for interviews, completing job applications, and developing job-related skills. + Develop positive relationships with businesses, community agencies, other departments, and outside vendors. + Conduct assessments to identify accommodations) for each person. + Provide discovery, job development, follow along support and ongoing job supports to the people supported at their places of employment, including job coaching and advocacy as needed. + Provide transportation to and from places of employment, as needed. + Complete accurate and timely daily documentation of all employment services. Qualifications: + High School Diploma or GED + Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more + Clean Driving Record with 2 years driving experience + Experience working with disabled adults preferred + Associate Degree Preferred + Basic Computer Skills + Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the participants and demands of the job. + DDA, LTSS and ICM experience is a plus  Requirements: + Successful completion of Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) within 6 months of hire.  + Successful completion of the Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) certification within 12 months of hire. + Minimum of 2 years experience providing employment services to people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.  Benefits and Perks: + Paid Training + Paid Travel Expenses + Paid Holidays  + Health Insurance + 403b Retirement Plan + Tuition Reimbursement + Free Up To $10,000 Life Insurance/Accidental Death and Dismemberment + Direct Deposit + Annual Leave + Sick Leave + Military Leave + Jury Duty Leave + Bereavement Leave Powered by JazzHR
