Location: Norwalk Hours:  M-F 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Full-Time, Flexible) Salary : $45,000 / year Travel Requirements:  75 miles weekly (mileage reimbursement provided) Are you passionate about making a real difference in people's lives? As an Employment Specialist, you’ll work closely with individuals with mental health and recovery needs, intellectual disabilities, or developmental disabilities, helping them secure and maintain meaningful employment. This role is ideal for recent graduates, career changers, and anyone with a background in sales, education, or human services looking to make a difference. You’ll help individuals referred by the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services achieve meaningful employment by building skills, exploring opportunities, and reaching their career goals. Lived experience in mental health recovery is a plus but not required. Responsibilities + Vocational Support: Assist individuals referred through human services programs using personalized placement models. + Career Development: Support job searches, coaching, and training for competitive employment. + Job Coaching: Guide goal setting, resume writing, interview prep, and soft skills development. + Networking: Connect with businesses to create job placements. + Documentation: Maintain records and conduct follow-ups to ensure success.
