The health services that became the Anthony L Jordan Health Corporation (Jordan Health) began more than 100 years ago, in 1904. As one of the first 5 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) established in the nation, its roots are steeped in service to those who face barriers to health and health care, meeting their need for comprehensive medical, dentistry, behavioral health, and community services. Starting in northeast Rochester, NY, Jordan Health has since expanded to become a network of primary care offices and health centers serving residents living in three quadrants of Rochester, NY and in Canandaigua, N.Y. 

 
 

Jordan Health is now seeking an EMR and Business Intelligence Lead who, under the guidance of the Chief Business Officer, is primarily responsible for working with executive, clinical, and IT management to ensure that all aspects of the EMR meet the needs of Jordan Health patients, medical and finance staff and other internal and external users of clinical and administrative information. Provides leadership in the collection and analysis of data to collaborate with a variety of staff to optimize clinical quality, patient safety, and fiscal performance.

Requirements

The EMR and Business Intelligence Lead will ensure that:

· Jordan Health staff is able to work efficiently and effectively through optimization of the Jordan Health EMR. 

· Jordan Health Quality Improvement Department and other Jordan Health staff are positioned to use data to inform accountable and high-quality patient care while improving fiscal performance. 

· Jordan Health staff have access to data that are complete and accurate. 

· Jordan Health Quality Assurance efforts are enhanced. 

 
 

Education And Experience Required:

· Bachelors level degree in business, mathematics or healthcare related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 

· 5 yrs. Of successful experience in healthcare business intelligence setting or related field. An appropriate combination of education, skills, and experience can be substituted for total years. 

· Healthcare background, experience and performance that promote a high level of credibility with clinical professionals. 

· Strong knowledge of business intelligence tools and techniques, relational databases, knowledge of automated reporting tools, high level of experience with electronic health records and other electronic reporting tools. 

· Knowledge of analytical tools and techniques to investigate data trends, issues, and to draw conclusions from the data. 

· Knowledge of database structures, data definitions, and data relationships. 

· Knowledge and application of industry standard report writing tools, such as: Excel, SQL, Crystal Reports, etc. 

· Knowledge of industry standard Business Intelligence solution tools, such as: Oracle, Business Objects, Tableau, etc. 

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a capacity for translating business needs into technical specifications.

· Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills. Highly self-motivated, directed and change oriented.

· Good analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to effectively prioritize and execute task under pressure.

· Able to work, contribute to and flourish in a team centric, collaborative environment.
