Location: Voorhees - 106 Carnie Blvd. Employment Type: Employee Employment Classification: Regular Time Type: Full time Work Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America) Total Weekly Hours: 40 Additional Locations: Job Information: Job Summary: Provides instruction and education to colleagues, students, and the community in compliance with local, state, and national education standards. Delivers initial certification, continuing education, and refresher courses for students and colleagues. Works collaboratively to plan and implement clinical learning experiences. Position Responsibilities: Develop and deliver dynamic, effective, and engaging EMS/AHA education according to the specified curriculum required. Observes actions during practice, provide positive or corrective feedback, and guide toward the acquisition of skills. Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to ensure mastery of the curriculum. Tests for competency and provides remediation as necessary. Collaborates with other EMS Educators and professionals to develop and improve educational materials and methods that meet the needs of Virtua Health. Assists in the evaluation of existing materials and programs with the goal of providing the highest quality programs for Virtua Health. Position Qualifications Required: Required Experience: Evidence of good organizational and communication skills. Proficient in presentation techniques, good human relations skills, and knowledge of adult learning and group dynamics. At least two years of relevant experience delivering EMS or AHA Education courses. Required Education: High School Graduate or equivalent. EMT Instructor license in the State of NJ. Training / Certification / Licensure: EMT Instructor Certification in the state of NJ. Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to the professional rescuer level. Must have a valid Driver’s license recognized by the State of New Jersey and driving record must meet insurance company standards/requirements. Must complete yearly PPD, Fit Test, Corporate Compliance, HIPAA, and additional training by the date set forth by the department.
