Roles and Responsibilities
Perform as interface between the product line partner and the EMS team, managing the transfer of information and communicating program priorities & requests.Assure timely resolution of issues, track and monitor progress & scope change, variations and recommend solutions to material issues Interprets simple internal business challenges and recommends best practices to improve processes.Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or partners. Proactively advocate for material improvements (TOW, Cost, Producibility, etc.) Create a strong partnership with systems and the LCE leadership team as the voice/face of EMS Proactively communicate leading indicators and recommend the necessary actionsLesson learned sharing with other PLF on enterprise issues Provide department level communications on status of your people leader to keep teams connected and informed Prioritize needs from product line and EMS material roadmaps to strategically apply funding Be an advocate for funding and drive improvements to meet the needs and goals of the product line and EMSProactively partner with Life Mgmt Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to ensure EMS is fully aligned with product line needsDrive rigor for budget to assure sufficient funding for EMS program deliverables Track spend regularly & proactively communicate opportunities pressures to prevent overspend Alert EMS, systems and partners when trending off plan and coordinate recovery efforts and abatement plans Participate and support all technical reviews and PCB topics when material items are presented Align subject matter experts and resources to support product line issues (Aviation, QTC, GRC., etc.) as well as RSP collaborationAbility to work across the EMS organization (EMS leadership, systems, program ops leader MAE's, Commodity Leaders, Materials Behavior and Failure Analysis) Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on EMS topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.Staying abreast of key materials related program challenges and provide insight to programs when neededUtilize Flight DeckRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of 5 years' experience in disciplinary engineering and scienceCo-locating with the product line Product Line focal experience Experience managing large budgetsDesired Characteristics
Master's degree
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and horizontal leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
Ability to document, plan, and execute programs.
Established project management skills.
