Duties: + Assist with HVAC Controls Design and Submittal reviews + Assist in reviewing utility data and energy usage to identify schools for recommissioning and retro commissioning + Assist in reviewing EMS and energy data, and alarms to identify no cost/low-cost energy conservation measures + Assist in the review of EMS, energy data, and alarms to identify preventive maintenance measures + Perform site visits to investigate as built conditions on identified projects + Implement low-cost to no-cost solutions or alternatives to projects/repairs of EMS systems at existing school sites + Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems + Respond to basic warranty calls + Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment + Assist in managing In-House Commissioning Projects + Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements Required Experience: + Minimum of three (3) years’ professional experience in building controls or a related field + Understanding of computer networking principles, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting + Ability to wire, start up, and troubleshoot basic HVAC maintenance issues + Fundamental understanding of HVAC operations within a facility. Required Education: + Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering (mechanical, computer science, electrical, information technology) OR + 10.6 Two-year technical degree in HVAC, Electronics-related studies with additional 2 years of experience to compensate for education on a year-for-year basis Preferred Qualifications: + Experience working with multiple controls manufacturers including Automated Logic, Carrier, Delta, Distech, Schneider Electric, or Trane + Proven ability to debug installation issues during both static and dynamic start-up phases + Experience supporting installation personnel and other contractors on project sites + Extensive experience in performing or assisting in performance of commissioning of EMS Salary dependent on education and experience.  Salary range:  $85K-105K Why Choose Element Consulting?
