We do this by providing more than 60,000 calls annually using our innovative equipment. Our ambulance teams are staffed by some of the most expert Paramedics and EMTs in the region, helping to make M Health Fairview a leader in Minnesota for emergency and non-emergency ambulance service. In the EMT role, we will provide BLS transport care to patients during inter-facility transfers and 911 calls, with continuous and dynamic training to provide ALS support. 1.0 (80 hour every two weeks) Union Environment Days, evenings, nights rotating weekend and holidays Benefits include: Medical, Dental, 403B, PTO, tuition reimbursement and so much more! Sign on bonus eligible! Responsibilities Job Description Maintains knowledge of, and aligns with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards. We actively participate in crafting and implementing improvements to achieve clinical, satisfaction and/or efficiency outcomes. Documents information in EHR and/or other electronic system in accordance with program standards, department policies/procedures. We safely and efficiently transfers care of patients to other care providers in appropriate setting (LTC, Hospital etc) Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served We partner with patient care giver in care/decision making, Communicates in a respective manner, Ensures a safe, secure environment. Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs, Modifies clinical interventions based on population served, Provides patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver. Complies with all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures and standards. We foster a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking. Evaluates progress towards goals and outcomes identifying opportunities for improvement and change Ability to identify, assess, understand, and cope with a serious situation, especially from the moment it first occurs to the point that recovery procedures start Captures and integrates critical information, recognizing and addressing underlying assumptions of others, to arrive at effective solutions Provides patient educational information appropriate to the developmental level, learning needs, readiness, cultural values, and beliefs of patients and families Demonstrates practices that support safety with recognition of variations in populations served, preventing harm to patients, families, employees, and themselves, Demonstrates behavior consistent with the standards, scope of practice, ethics, and characteristics of a licensed professional Administers medications following policies using procedures that assure the highest level of safety all times for all populations Identifies expected outcomes and develops individualized treatment plan of care Qualifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Emergency Med Tech Basic (EMT-B) from MN Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board Emergency Med Tech Basin (EMT-B) from National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Valid drivers license and DMV record that meets M Health Fairview EMS insurability requirements Additional Requirements Ability to safely lift, pull, push and carry a minimum of 100 pounds.
