Saint Francis Healthcare is looking for experienced Lieutenant to join our EMS Wilmington division!
The EMS Lieutenant is a supervising officer of the department. The EMS Lieutenant is responsible for supervising a work group of the department, often serving as the operational lead of an EMS on-duty shift of multiple crews. The EMS Lieutenant may also be assigned administratively to supervise a work group and/or department initiative requiring senior supervisory scope, authority, and responsibility. This officer plans, directs, and coordinates the work of the EMS Sergeant and EMS personnel.Responsible for providing supervisory-level leadership and general management for their assigned work group.Ensure overall operational performance of their assignment so that the department is meeting its goals. Provides support to subordinate EMS Sergeants and EMS personnel through empowerment, delegation, training, and mentoring.Responds to all serious incidents involving their assigned work group.Responds to all mass casualties and multi-agency operations and operates at those incidents as field-level supervisor under the Incident Command System.Minimum Qualifications (Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification/Skills):Associate's Degree from an accredited institution in a related field. (Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred)Required Certifications: National Registered EMT, DE EMT, PHTLS, CPRMinimum 3 years' experience as a 911 EMTCompletion of an approved Emergency Vehicle Operations CourseCurrent valid driver’s licenseCertification in Incident Command System/NIMSWe offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including:
