EMT/PARAMEDIC

The primary responsibility of the EMT/Paramedic is to assist the research team in conducting clinical trials. The clinical support staff member is responsible for performing study procedures, overseeing study subjects during in-patient or outpatient visits, collecting and recording clinical research data in the source documents. In the event of a medical emergency, individual will take appropriate measures in accordance with and Basic Life Support (BLS) standards.

Hours will be dependent on study conduct and will include evenings or overnights at times. Shift differential will be paid. If selected for an interview, a detailed job description will be provided at that time. 

 

Education/Experience 

This person must, at a minimum, have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be licensed medical personnel (i.e. EMT/Paramedic) and be, at minimum, certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred for Paramedics. This individual must have effective communication skills (written and verbal) and be computer literate with accurate typing skills. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred.
