Job Title: Encapsulation Operator
Location: Somerset, NJ
Hours / Schedule: Monday - Friday | 2nd shift, 3:00pm - 11:00pm | 3rd shift, 11:00pm - 7:00am

Responsibilities

Set-Up associate is responsible for all assembly / disassembly, and cleaning of various encapsulation machines.

 Responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

Requirements

High school diploma or its equivalent is required.

Complete working knowledge of the encapsulation process,

Minimum of 1 year experience in related jobs (e.g., encapsulation, injection molding or other similar machine operations) and / or requires four to six months training and experience in this job under close supervision.

Fluent English skills to read and understand written instructions, and other information; to maintain routine written records and to communicate problems effectively to supervisors 

Accurate arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, division) to calculate shell and fill weights, and calculate the time a tank will run out of gel or medicine 

Manual dexterity to manipulate controls, disassemble / assemble equipment using a variety of hand tools 

Physical ability to stand / walk for much of the work shift, and push / pull / lift large containers weighing up to 50 pounds 

Mechanical aptitude to trouble shoot and fix equipment malfunctions

Must Have

1 year GMP experience from Pharma or Vitamin / Nutraceuticals, Food, Chemical

Experience troubleshooting equipment / changeovers

Experience with Tableting 

Experience with Hard Gelatin automatic encapsulation machine strongly desired
