MITRE’s Enterprise Business Systems and Operations Division is defined by transformational leaders, critical and agile thinkers, decisive decision makers, courageous innovators, and a collective mindset rooted in continuous process improvement.
This Senior Manager brings together diverse stakeholder groups to surround a given enterprise problem or enterprise opportunity. This position actively identifies end-to-end solutions for select enterprise business processes and systems by considering the process or system within its environment, while also assessing the underlying structure and relationships—and how both aspects impact behavior.
Functions/Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks
Function: End-to-End Solutions and Special Projects
+ Strategic End-to-End solution development and planning:
+ Provide End-to-End thinking, strategic planning, and execution as a technical partner to EBSOD Director and broadly across Finance.
+ In collaboration with the EBSOD Director provide, gather and prepare finance functional and technical expertise input for EBSOD and Finance
+ Forge collaborative partnerships with center leadership to strategically enhance the organization’s core competencies, dedicatedly fostering the growth of early technical career workforce development initiatives.
+ Special Projects:
+ Provide leadership, financial functional, technical input, and guidance, as well as provide a rally point and where appropriate, POC for EBSOD participation in Finance Strategic Initiatives and other corporate cross-cutting efforts.
+ Translate high-level, long-term activities into concrete action plans with detailed tasks, milestones, and goals.
+ Coordinate and manage project development on a project level, planning and prioritization across Finance functions.
Function: Data Analysis
+ Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide both ongoing and ad-hoc reports.
+ Develop and implement data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize efficiency.
+ Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
+ Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
+ Optimize data collection procedures and generate reports on a consistent basis for use by teams globally.
+ Collect, clean and analyze data from multiple sources to develop visually impactful charts/dashboards.
+ Utilize visual analytics platforms for data intelligence, analysis, and visualization to drive successful business solutions.
+ Assume a lead role in shaping the ongoing development of internal control processes and automation.
Function: Solutions Design and Innovation
+ Exert meaningful influence over strategic decisions in complex, multi-stakeholder, and collaborative environments.
+ Learn and rapidly respond to new problems across a variety of financial and systems domains.
+ Distill complex and complicated problems into organized thought and synchronized action.
+ Lead operational design, implementation, and collaboration of complex problem solving with senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
+ Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 10 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 7 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience. Demonstrated understanding of the Finance sector and the corporate business process and mission spaces and external technologies.
+ Ability to create, articulate, and motivate visionary concepts, outcomes, and achieve practical outcomes in complex environments.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate challenging technical concepts to both untrained and expert audiences.
+ Can-do attitude and history of entrepreneurial success.
+ Experience with planning, executing, and presenting complex trade studies while balancing cost, schedule constraints, mission analysis, information assurance and systems integration.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in both virtual and live presentation of complex technical issues.
+ Ability to build strong internal and external partnerships.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead through influence.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 20+ years of relevant work experience, including full time industry experience or as a researcher.
+ Experience with leveraging solutions from leading academic and commercial research groups.
+ Experience working across or within an FFRDC environment.
